The church became routine and boring, and the youth group began splitting up, as many of us had gotten jobs. And some were preparing for graduation and college. But I was fortunate enough to recapture some of that old magic a few years later. The year was 1980. I had moved to another town, and I had just gotten married. My wife and I met a remarkable young lady.

Her name was Jane, and she invited us to her church. We happened to arrive during a very special time in that church’s history. The pastor was young and energetic, and there were many from the surrounding area who became believers. This tiny little church was full of life, and it was experiencing a revival. My new wife and I became good friends with Jane and her husband, and the times we spent together reminded me of my days in the youth group days filled with love and laughter, and with being in awe of God.
